About Jolie Breeden
Jolie Breeden is the founder and CEO of Disasterly. She has a background in environmental journalism, science writing and editing, and communication. Breeden spent nearly 20 years as the lead editor and science communicator at the Natural Hazards Center at the University of Colorado Boulder. There she gained a wealth of knowledge about the many facets of preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters, and the social dimensions of the field. Before joining the Natural Hazards Center, she worked as a reporter for Denver-area newspapers including the Rocky Mountain News, the Broomfield Enterprise, the Boulder Daily Camera, and the Longmont Daily Times-Call.
